The Deveron Valley
A well-kept secret, this beautiful salmon river runs from its source in The Cabrach past Huntly, Turriff, before reaching the North Sea between Banff and Macduff. A journey alongside the river starting in the Cairngorms will take you on a meandering route through windswept hills, amongst rolling, fertile farmland, finally to the stunning Banffshire coastline. It's an area rich in history, wonderful wildlife, fantastic views and the very best of locally produced food.

Eden Plants sits on the Sustrans National Cycle Route 1. "Aberdeen - Inverness. An excellent cycle trip for a short holiday through some of Scotland's most celebrated towns and cities as well as beautiful Aberdeenshire countryside with breathtaking views of the Moray Firth coastline. Cycling from Aberdeen to Inverness via National Cycle Route 1 is a must for those cyclists who like the peace and quiet."
We receive regular visits from red squirrels, and Eden Plants is a great place to view them. Northern Aberdeenshire is one of the last places in the UK where the red squirrel colony continues to thrive.
Take your time here, and you may also spot otters, woodpeckers, dippers or the unmistakeable blue of the kingfisher.
